Abstract

This research aims to combine two fields of knowledge: linguistics and media studies, within the framework of scientific interconnection. The goal here is to achieve scientific results that benefit both parties, particularly the linguistic aspect—our area of specialization—which we strive to adapt or, more precisely, to utilize its scientific data to serve other knowledge domains. The study we present to the reader focuses mainly on two key axes : contextual meaning and television news discourse. Is there a relationship between these two concepts? Based on this question, our attempt is to delve into the depths of contextual meaning with its dual core subject; that is, context in both its linguistic and non-linguistic forms. We then examine its impact on guiding this type of discourse through communicative models.
