Abstract
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women both nationally and
internationally, it is the leading cause of cancer death in women.
Our goal during this study is to take stock of the epidemiological and anatomo-pathological
data recorded in a series of cases over the past three years (2017, 2018 and 2019) in the
wilaya of Aïn Témouchent. The recruitment of patients with breast cancer was at a maximum
in 2018, i.e. 58% of cases. The most affected women are between 40 and 50 years old. The
histological study allowed us to deduce that the majority of tumors are invasive ductal
carcinomas of the nonspecific type with 75%. The samples devoted to the histological study
are mostly taken from mastectomy parts with 67%; histological samples taken from tumors
taken by lumpectomy represent 20%. Based on the histopronostic grade (SBR) we were able
to divide our case series into three groups, 48% of cases are grade II, 28% are grade III and
24% are grade I.
