| dc.description.abstract | Intensive agricultural practices and the use of chemical inputs exert increasing pressure on soil microbial communities, particularly arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), thereby disrupting the biological balance of ecosystems. In this context, the use of natural biostimulants represents a promising alternative due to their ability to improve soil structure, plant growth and nutrition, as well as plant tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of two natural biostimulants, the green alga Ulva lactuca and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, applied individually or in combination, on the growth and development of (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), within the framework of sustainable agriculture. The results showed that all tested biological treatments positively improved the growth parameters of both studied species. The combined treatment associating AMF and Ulva lactuca achieved the best performance, indicating a synergistic effect between the two biostimulants. Furthermore, treated plants exhibited enhanced tolerance to abiotic stresses, particularly drought and salinity, confirming the potential of these natural biostimulants as sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional chemical fertilizers. | |
