Abstract

This study comes within framework of the growing intersst in moden literary criticism methodologies .it takes as its subject the book « thematic analysis of poetic discourse : a study of the constants of the method itsa arab transformation and attempts to apply it » by youssef waghlissi this book is considered one of the most prominent arab critical attempts that sought to establish the timatic method and apply it to poetic texts through this study it aims to reveal the theoretical foundations upon which thematic analysis is besed as presented by youssef waghlissi while also identifying points of ovrelap between the thematic method and other critical methodologies
