Abstract

*time and place are one of the important elements in the construction of the novel as they help in its course and the development of its events . The problems was: how he presented the narrative text in their waiting time and place in light of the semiotic approch? this research dealt with two chapter of timeand place and revealing their semiotic in the novel “an appointment in the waiting lobby“by”Yousef soag”.This research was divided in twochapter:the first was about the inportance of time its typesand semiotic,the second was about the importance of place and its semiotic significance.
