Pregnancy is a natural state that requires significant physiological, anatomical and biological adaptations of the maternal organism. However, this physiological state can be accompanied by serious health risks, and can contribute to the occurrence of complications such as arterial hypertension which is most frequent during pregnancy and represents one of the major causes of morbidity. and maternal-fetal mortality worldwide. Our study aims to evaluate the impact of hypertension on biochemical parameters such as urea, creatinine, uric acid, transaminases, proteinuria, glycemia and blood count in pregnant women. The study is carried out on 116 women, including 58 hypertensive pregnant women (34% with pre-eclampsia and 66% with gravidic hypertension) with an average age of 29 years and 58 normotensive women. The analysis of the biochemical parameters of the hyper tense patients revealed hyper creatinine in 24.13% and an increase in the levels of certain parameters of the renal assessment in the hypertensive pregnant women compared to the healthy control women and the frequency of the 24-hour proteinuria having a content greater than 300mg/l/24h is equal to 36.20%. For liver function tests, an increase in TGO and TGP levels was noted in 24.13% and 6.89% of the population studied, respectively. Regarding the glycemic balance, 18 pregnant women have hypoglycemia and 30 women have hyperglycemia. Finally, 50% of hypertensive women show moderate anemia and 5.17% have severe anemia. We also note that 15.51% of hypertensive pregnant women have thrombocytopenia.en_US
