Résumé
This research aims to analyze the contribution of microcredit as an effective tool to combat poverty in Algeria, using both theoretical and practical approaches. The theoretical framework covers the concept of poverty, its causes, types, and measurement methods, while also addressing microcredit in terms of its origin, goals, importance, criteria, and characteristics. The practical part presents a case study of a project funded by the National Agency for Entrepreneurship Support and Development (NESDA) in Ain Temouchent province. The study evaluates the effectiveness of microcredit in improving living conditions and creating job opportunities. It concludes that microcredit is a powerful tool for empowering economically vulnerable groups, especially in rural areas, provided it is efficiently managed and coupled with technical support and guidance for beneficiaries.
