Our research is part of the current issues related to the urban environment. The first part deals with the understanding of neighborhood production and planning methods with a view to urban sustainability by highlighting the consideration of the pillars and principles of sustainable development and more specifically the principles introduced by the neighborhood, referring to the standards adopted worldwide and more specifically in Europe and proposes a historical study on these terms. The second part provides an overview of the city of Ain Temouchent. In the third part we propose the EVA Lanxmeer European eco-district which is a globally recognized district as a successful project thanks to the integration of the principles of the (HQE) and the implication of its inhabitants in its conception as being an example. The fourth part represents our vision of an ideal city, where the intelligence of the buildings is in perfect harmony with the environment, a city where the inhabitant has access to all equipment facilitating his daily life while preserving his natural environment. The last part was established based on the P.D.A.U and the P.O.S Ain Temouchent, in this part we propose our conception on the procedure to be followed during the redevelopment of the neighborhood of Hai Moulay Mustafa into an eco-district.en_US
