Abstract

This study aims to know the impact of monetary policy on economic growth in Algeria, and to reach the goal of the study, we conducted a standard study for the following set of variables: economic growth (crude internal output), exchange rate, total loans, inflation, total cash reserves, money supply. During the period from 1980 to 2020, using the Autoregressive Model (VAR), various tests were performed The study concluded that there is a direct relationship between money supply, total loans and inflation rate with the gross domestic product, and that there is an inverse relationship between the exchange rate and the total cash reserve with the gross domestic product
