Abstract
Haiku is a type of traditional poetry characterized by
simplicity and brevity. Usually three lines long, it contains 17
syllables in a 5-7-5 pattern. Haiku focuses on depicting moments
of nature and its details, and often includes a reference to a
chapter. Haiku expresses an appreciation for contemplative
moments and passes on feelings and thoughts in an indirect
manner, relying on suggestion and symbolism, making it a way to
express beauty and depth in the simplest form. In conclusion,
Japanese haiku poetry remains a unique example in literature,
combining simplicity and depth, a type of poetry that reflects the
spirit and beauty of nature and encourages reflection on the small
details of life. Haiku has proven to transcend cultural and
temporal boundaries, becoming an international art form that
inspires poets and readers all over the world.
