Abstract

This research work is part of the field of discourse analysis and more precisely in the field of argumentation analysis. We question the argumentative processes used by the written press and their influence on the opinion of Algerian readers regarding the return to power of the Taliban (summer 2021). We developed two bodies of research to be analysed. The first is made up of four press articles, including two Algerian newspapers (Le Soir d'Algérie, Liberté) and two French newspapers (Le Figaro, Le Monde). The second is made up of the answers to the questionnaire intended for a sample of Algerian readers.
