Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the nature of the relationship between social media addiction and the body image of adolescents. It also sought to reveal the high level of addiction among female students and thus the differences in the level of addiction due to the variable school rate. The study relied on the correlative descriptive curriculum and was conducted on a sample of 100 students with different disciplines for the 2024.2023 season where the questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. After processing the data using the SPSS software, the study concluded a number of results, the most important of which are: • A statistically significant negative relationship between social media sites and the body image of adolescents. • There is a high level of addiction in adolescent girls. • There are differences in the level of social media addiction among secondary students attributable to the study variant.
