Abstract

This research paper deals with the issue of the Algerian economy as a rentier economy, as it suffers from the problem of transforming into a diversified and competitive economy, and we will divide this research into three parts by adopting the descriptive and analytical approach, the first part in which we present the latest developments in the Algerian economy, And the second section through which we justify the rentier nature of the Algerian economy, and in the final section we analyze the most important institutional obstacles that prevent the transformation of the Algerian economy from a rentier one to a diversified and competitive economy.
