Abstract
This study explores the stylistic analysis of the poetry collection
Tashaqqu al-Yasamin (""The Jasmine Cracks"") by the Algerian
poet Othman Lawesif, focusing on the aesthetic dimensions of
contemporary poetic discourse. It addresses the central issue of
how stylistic features manifest in the collection, examining four
levels of stylistic analysis: phonological, morphological,
syntactic, and semantic. On the theoretical side, the research
outlines contributions by Arab critics to the conceptualization of
style, distinguishing it from stylistics, and comparing its relation
to poetics. In the applied section, the study analyzes recurring
patterns such as repetition, parallelism, rhyme, and grammatical
structures including fronting, postponement, and ellipsis. A
descriptive-analytical methodology was employed, supported by
statistical and comparative tools. Due to limited access to the
print version of the collection, a digital version was used as the
basis for analysis. The findings reveal that Lawesif’s poetic style is characterized by a unique use of linguistic devices that blend
phonetic and syntactic harmony, ultimately reflecting a
distinctive creative identity within contemporary Algerian poetry.
