Résumé
This study examines self-narration and the representations of feminine identity
in the novel *Heart of Clay* by *Elham Mazyoud*. It begins with a theoretical
introduction addressing the concepts of autobiography and self-narration, as well
as their significance in Arabic literature. The first chapter is devoted to exploring
the mechanisms of self-narration through an analysis of the first-person narrator
and focalization in its various forms.
The second chapter discusses the concept of feminine identity and the social,
physical, cultural, and psychological factors that contribute to its formation. It
also examines feminist literature as a field for expressing women’s issues and
their various representations. Furthermore, the study investigates the
representations of feminine identity and body writing in the novel as means of
expressing the female self.
