Évaluation bactériologique et physico-chimique de la qualité de l'eau d'élevage de poissons destinée à l'irrigation

Abstract

In the region of Ain Temouchent, irrigation is provided particularly by groundwater and surface water. The quality of the water used for irrigation is of great importance for the agricultural product and the yield. In the present study, two water points used for irrigation purposes (the fish pond and the supply well,) were the subject of a qualitative assessment. The two points studied are located in the farm of Ain Tolba in the wilaya of Ain Temouchent. The methodology followed for assessing the quality of these waters is that recommended by the FAO (1976). The results obtained showed that the water analyzed (basin and well) is of good quality. It has allowed an increase in agricultural yields and a significant improvement in the quality of crops.
