Abstract

This study aims to measure the impact of tourism indicators on economic growth using annual data covering the period from 1995 to 2023. To achieve this objective, the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model employed. The results of the study reveal the existence of a long-run cointegration relationship among the study variables. Furthermore, the findings indicate a positive impact of the number of tourist arrivals, tourism expenditures, and tourism revenues on economic growth. However, a negative long-run effect was observed during temporary shocks in the infrastructure indicator on economic growth
