Abstract

In response to rapid economic transformation and the growth of maritime transport, port handling has become a fundamental pillar in the cargo supply chain within ports. Port handling revolves around a package of physical operations, such as loading, docking, stowing, urstowing, and discharging cargo, leading, up to its sorting and storage in port warehouses, as well as the execution of legal operations, these latter operations are subject to procedures such as receipt, endorsement, identification of shipped cargo, and its guarding until it is loaded and delivered to the consignee.
