Résumé
The yellow nightshade, Solanum elaeagnifolium Cave is an invasive perennial Solanaceae of
cultivated and uncultivated environments. Several studies have been made on the plant but no
study evokes its phytochemical composition in this context the objective of our work is to
determine the geographical distribution of the plant at the level of the wilaya of Ain
T'emouchent and to carry out a phytochemical study on the plant to determine its composition
in secondary metabolites. And finally to determine the effect of the plant extract on the
germination of two plants of agronomic interest (corn and chickpea). The photochemical
study allowed us to detect the presence of certain secondary metabolites in the plant. The
results of the germination test showed that the extracts of the yellow nightshade inhibit
germination in corn and chickpea
