dc.description.abstractThe work presented in this thesis lies in the field of image processing and more specifically the segmentation of images. Until this date, there is no universal method of image segmentation. Any technique is only effective for a given type of image, for a given type of application, and in a given technological environment. Because of those constraints, various image processing strategies were proposed affirmed their shortcomings and limitations. It is therefore to explore new horizons and find new qnd more flexible and more effective methods. Among these, thresholding techniques have many variants, it can be manual, automatic or adaptive well (based on the Otsu method) that were used to solve the segmentation problem. The objective of this thesis is therefore to improve image segmentation based on Otsu methoden_US
