The objective of this study is to determine the adsorptive power of three materials green coffee, coffee waste and activated carbon, to remove a cationic dye methylene blue in aqueous medium. The experiments were carried out in batch mode. The influence of certain parameters on the adsorption of the dye on our solid supports, namely the adsorbent-adsorb ate contact time, the pH effect of the solution, the initial BM concentration, and the effect of temperature. The adsorption behavior of this dye at equilibrium was examined by the Langmuir isothermal model,. The activated carbon used prove effective in the removal of cationic dyes and could be useful alternative materials.en_US
