Abstract

"This study primarily aims to discuss the issue of the legal probative value of criminal evidence by reviewing various types of criminal evidence, dividing them into traditional evidence and modern forms of evidence, including biological evidence such as DNA and blood analysis. The study also addresses technical evidence, including electronic evidence, audio recordings, and phone tapping. Given the evolution of the methods used in committing crimes, the tools for uncovering evidence to identify the perpetrator have become increasingly diverse. In the context of Algerian legislation, the acceptance of criminal evidence remains subject to the discretion and conviction of the Algerian judge. For the judge to be convinced, it is essential to examine the legality and validity of the procedures used to collect such evidence, and whether the evidence was obtained in a lawful manner. "
