Abstract

The control of journalism is important due to its role in the organization of the profession and in the criminal responsibility of offenders. The importance of this issue is reflected in the deterrent of abuse, the elimination of the crisis of trust, and the provision of authentic and objective information. Algerian legislator refers to several legal texts, the subject of which relates to the controls of journalistic work and the penal liability derived from it through the journalism law 12-05. Use both the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Penal Code to promote the interests of the individual and the community and preserve the public safety and order of the State. Finally, we can say that Algerian lawmakers are successful in media practice. It has also tried to balance its freedom with the controls that govern it. It has also kept pace with the development of the media. It has recognized the responsibility for breaching the profession's rules of ethics and ethics. In return, it has regulated the crimes and penalties of the press.
