Hydroponics is the cultivation of plants in a nutrient-rich aqueous solution. It can be used to grow a wide range of plants, crops and vegetables. The yield quality, taste and nutritional value of the end products obtained by hydroponics are generally superior to those obtained by natural cultivation in soil. In order to gain a better understanding of this method, a literature review has been drawn up, summarizing the most recent work on the subject. In this respect, a contribution was made to the realization of a hydroponic barley culture with the study of its impact on the health of dairy cows. To this end, a 40 m2 hydroponic chamber and a farm with 15 dairy cows were set up. The results showed that hydroponic barley cultivation produces high yields in just seven days. Feeding hydroponic barley has a positive impact on the overall health of dairy cows.en_US
