Our project focused on the simulation of the evolution of the propagation of electrical trees created in the solid insulation of high voltage electrical systems. We focused on analytical models based on electrostatic pressure to determine the propagation equations of simple geometric shapes: sphere for bush-type trees and cylindrical channels for branch-type trees and for zero charge density. We were able to observe that the applied voltage, the inter-electrode distance, type of material and the aging time influence the phenomenon of tree structure and the electrical discharges considerably modify the polymer structureen_US
