Etude de l’efficacité inhibitrice de corrosion dans différents milieux corrosifs par un matériau

Abstract

In This work, we were interested in the study of the inhibition rate and the inhibitory effect of Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose on the corrosion of steel and copper in a sulfuric acid medium H2SO4 (0.5 M). The results obtained by the gravimetric method show an interesting protective effect of this inhibitor, despite the aggressiveness of the corrosive environment. Several parameters were studied such as concentration, temperature and time. The optimal concentration is 50 mg/L of CMC at a temperature of 50° C for a duration of 1 hour and the efficiency is 91.09% in steel and 83.18% in copper. The thermodynamic study showed that the inhibition process obeys the Langmuir isotherm with a mixed adsorption aspect (physisorption and chimisorption)
