This thesis focuses on the operational study of machines involved in the production of high- density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes at the ITP factory in Oran. HDPE is widely used in water supply, gas distribution, and sanitation networks due to its mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and long service life. The work is based on field observations and a detailed technical analysis of the production stages: raw material feeding, extrusion, calibration, cooling, marking, pulling, cutting, and quality control. Particular attention is given to the CINCINNATI BETERFELD 75-40 extruder, the core of the process, equipped with sensors, a programmable logic controller (B&R PLC), and the WinCC supervision system. This study highlights the critical role of automation, parameter control, and structured industrial organization to ensure continuous, high-quality, and environmentally compliant production. A Grafcet program was presented to highlight the different stages and transitions of the extruder's operation.en_US
