Abstract

This research examines the procedural aspects of litigation before the Social Chamber within the Algerian judicial system, highlighting the unique features of these procedures and their importance in protecting workers' rights and balancing the employment relationship. The first chapter explores the scope of the Social Chamber’s jurisdiction, both in terms of subject-matter and territorial jurisdiction, as well as the procedures of amicable settlement and filing lawsuits. The second chapter analyzes the conduct of social litigation, including claims, defenses, and evidentiary tools, culminating in the nature of judgments and avenues for appeal. The study concludes that the Algerian legislator has aimed to provide effective protection for employees by simplifying procedures and establishing flexible rules that align with the particular nature of the employment relationship .
