L’utilisation des eaux usées traitées dans le secteur d’agriculture

Abstract

The introduction of wastewater as a complementary water resource constitutes an interesting contribution for agriculture, which suffers from a water deficit. However, it was retained that the reuse of wastewater in the town of Ain Temouchent is timid and this because of various constraints encountered by farmers which is due to a lack of information on the synergy and cooperation between the various factors such as the national sanitation office, the water resources department, the agricultural services department and the Wilaya chamber of agriculture. It was noted a dysfunction in terms of management of the flow of wastewater and active sludge this is due to the absence of national irrigation and duly qualified drainage. The absence of this office represents a threat compared to the existing purification stations because the storage areas are in the process of saturation and this because of the weak flow of wastewater as well as the active sludge. In conclusion, the wastewater treatment plant in the commune of Ain Temouchent with the objective of irrigating an area of 500 ha has still not been reached to this day
