dc.description.abstractOur study consists in studying the impact of defects within a high voltage insulator based on the analysis of equipotential lines and the distribution of the electric field. This makes it possible to know the places where the electrical stress intensifies the most. These are the air cavities trapped inside the insulation during its construction, which give rise to partial discharges and subsequently damage electrical equipment. Several types of air or water cavities and at different positions and arrangements have been considered. Different results obtained using the Comsol software were analyzed.en_US
