Abstract
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology enables the identification of objects through
data exchange via radio signals. It is rapidly expanding and promises to be widely adopted in
the near future.
This system consists of three main elements: a card equipped with a transmitter (antenna), a
chip containing specific information about the object to be identified, and a base station
responsible for receiving and identifying the data emitted by the card. Additionally, there is a
computer equipped with software and databases for storing and processing the information.
This work exploits this technology in the implementation of an application designed to manage
student attendance in classrooms in an automated manner, aiming to eliminate the need for
manual attendance methods and ensure accurate real-time recording of student attendance as
soon as they pass their RFID card in front of the reader.
