La Réhabilitation Du Cadre Bati Témouchentois-Cas De L’Immeuble Thiers

Abstract

the city of Ain-Temouchent, particularly the old colonial buildings, is in an alarming situation, due to their very advanced dilapidation. The number of dilapidated buildings is only increasing, consequently the safety of people may no longer be guaranteed. Our project focuses on the definition of terms related to the rehabilitation and the study of the history of collective housing in Algeria before and after independence, and Methods and international experiences in the rehabilitation of the building. Then we studied the rehabilitation of an old residential building in the city center of Ain Temouchent. For this, it is recommended to refer to a number of methodological principles and rules for conducting rehabilitation operations. The study of the disturbances observed in this building « Thiers » as well as the search for their origin and finally proposals for rehabilitation solutions were discussed.
