Abstract
The aim of our study is to develop the design of supersonic and subsonic nozzle profiles. To
achieve this at first we have studied the flow by several methods.
The first method consists of the compressible and dynamic gas flow which consists of
Variable density flow which is controlled by the variation of temperature, the use of compressible
flow and the Mach number.
The second method consists of the one-dimensional compressible flow (Case of an ideal gas),
which consists of the NAVIER-STOKS equations.
The third Reynolds method of studying the Reynolds number and Reynolds decomposition
(RANS)
Fourth method, the finite volume method which consists of taking into account limits as a very
important aspect when using numerical techniques in order to obtain good results.
The Ansys program developed for the four methods is the application which is calculated by finite
elements (FEA), the use of this program allowed us to study the geometry (Design Modeler) to
fully understand the physical aspect the definition of the zone to be meshed with the use of
characteristic points and applied the mesh with the boundary conditions and the fluent solver
Finally our results are validated and compared to the methods used before to confirm the
reliability of our simulation.
