Résumé
The objective of this work is the design of 5G intelligent antennas intended for the precise geolocation of vehicles.
A microstrip patch antenna resonating at 1.575 GHz was modeled and simulated in CST Studio Suite in three configurations.
Two architectures were studied: a MIMO configuration composed of 6 elements, and a second structure with 8 elements (4×2), designed for GPS applications.
A phase-shift study revealed that the latter configuration was the most efficient, achieving a gain of 8 dBi and a reflection coefficient S11 better than −10 dB.
This solution helps overcome the limitations of conventional GPS systems, especially in urban environments, and effectively meets the requirements of 5G networks for intelligent mobility.
