Abstract
This work was carried out at the level of the forest of Sassel, wilaya of Ain Temouchent. Our
region is characterized by its great ecosystem diversity
The plant Daphne gniduim L, belongs to the family of Thymeleaceae classified among the
medicinal plants identified with the populations and benefiting from good therapeutic
celebrity.
in general, it is located in western Algeria and develops in the mountains, the forests and on
the high plateaus.
The aim of the work is to determine the physico-chemical properties of the soils of the
species Daphne gniduim L, and to highlight the soil-vegetation relationship.
The results of these analyzes showed that the species Daphne gnidium L. develops on soils
with a loamy and silty-clay texture, these soils have a low calcareous soil content, the soils are
unsalted with a pH close to neutrality.
The ACP allowed us to identify and accentuate the soil conditions that reinforce the
existence and development of the species.
