dc.description.abstractIn this work, we prepared and evaluated hydrogel films based on chitosan (CN) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), incorporating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) for biomedical applications. The nanoparticles were synthesized using a green method with plant extract, and incorporated into the hydrogel either by direct addition or via in situ synthesis. The films were analyzed through swelling tests over time and at different pH levels, and by antibacterial activities, as well as structural (FTIR) and thermal (DSC) characterizations. The results showed that a low concentration of AgNPs improved the swelling and stability of the films, while higher concentrations reduced these properties.en_US
