dc.description.abstractThe Terga power plant (SKT) aims to produce electricity, using water vapor and the heat released by the combustion of natural gas. The objective of this study is to study the operation process of the seawater desalination plant (MSF) in the Terga combined cycle power plant. Pretreatment is the first step which involves chlorination and filtration. After this process, we are interested in the desalination process by successive expansion distillation which produces desalinated water free of almost all salts. to obtain pure water necessary for powering the electrical auxiliaries. Physico-chemical analyzes are carried out on the different qualities of water produced. The experimental results obtained show that the quality of the water produced is of perfect quality, which indicates the effectiveness of the processes used. The MSF desalination processes in the power plant are facing serious problems leading to a drop in the production of desalinated water in the two MSF units.en_US
