Abstract
Lately, hydrogen engines have undergone a remarkable evolution thanks to their outstanding
performance although the hydrogen is an inflammable and explosion gas.
The deformation of the engine bloc because of the high temperatures of functioning of the
engine and the thermo mechanical stresses it is a challenge for the builders of this type from
engines. The main objective of our work is to determinate the suitable material which can
resist against the impact of the high temperatures and the high thermo mechanical stresses.
The thermo mechanical analysis of the engine bloc using ANSYS-Workbench finite element
software has allowed us to find the suitable material. Our analysis is showed us that the
utilization of the grey font is reduce the thermo mechanical stresses and the distribution of the
temperatures in times (combustion, exhaust, compression).
