Abstract
"
Competition is the fundamental driver of economic life and the most effective means to achieve commercial returns. As a result, most modern legislations have sought to establish appropriate frameworks for this activity by classifying practices in this field into legitimate practices and those that restrict competition, beginning with Order 03_03 and its subsequent amendments. To achieve this goal, the Algerian legislature introduced a legal body known as the Competition Council, which is entrusted with administrative and judicial functions aimed primarily at resolving disputes among economic operators. However, the volume of laws and procedures outlined in Algerian legislation governing competition remains insufficient to keep pace with the rapid developments in economic transformations.
