Abstract

"Food Security is one of the main issues of increasing attention at the national and international levels. Considering the link between the right to food and the achievement of sustainable development, the Algerian legislator has worked to enhance food security through a range of legal mechanisms, including the protection of agricultural land and industrial real estate directed to investments related to agricultural production, regulating food markets, ensuring food safety, and consumer protection. At the international level, international law contributes to the enshrining of the right to food through charters, treaties and specialized international organizations. International non-governmental organizations also play an important role in combating hunger, supporting vulnerable groups, financing developmental and agricultural projects, and promoting food awareness. This confirms that achieving food security requires the integration of national and international governmental and non-governmental efforts to face contemporary economic, environmental and food challenges.
