Abstract
This project focuses on the development of advanced control strategies for a wind energy
conversion system based on a Doubly-Fed Induction Machine, aiming to improve efficiency,
stability, and robustness.
Three control methods were studied :
• Direct Vector Control (DVC) offers fast response but is sensitive to flux estimation
errors.
• Indirect Vector Control (IVC) more stable but depends on accurate machine
parameters.
• Fuzzy Logic Control combines flexibility and high robustness, well-suited to rapid
wind speed variations.
Simulation results using MATLAB/Simulink show that fuzzy control delivers the best
dynamic performance and robustness compared to classical vector control approaches.
