Abstract

"Due to the marginalization and injustice that persons with disabilities are exposed to in many societies, and considering their importance as an integral part of the community, the legislator has sought to ensure their protection. This dissertation examined the legal protection of persons with disabilities in Algerian legislation. The first chapter addressed the conceptual framework of persons with disabilities by defining them from both legal and jurisprudential perspectives, while highlighting their fundamental rights, as we l as the causes and various types of disability. The second chapter was devoted to studying the legal protection guaranteed by Algerian legislation for this category through constitutional and criminal protection, in addition to the protection afforded to children with disabilities, with the aim of safeguarding their dignity, promoting their social inclusion, and ensuring the protection of their fundamental rights."
