Résumé
This study focuses on the modeling, simulation, and analysis of the aerodynamic
performance of a centrifugal compressor using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with ANSYS
CFX software. A numerical model was developed to solve the conservation equations for mass,
momentum, and energy, while incorporating appropriate physical models, including the k-ω SST
turbulence model and rotational conditions. In a second step, a multi-response optimization approach was implemented to improve compressor performance. This optimization aims
simultaneously to maximize the compression ratio and isentropic efficiency while reducing power
consumption. After presenting the desirability function method, the optimization was applied to
the response surfaces of the three parameters studied using Design-Expert 13 software. Finally,
analysis of the optimal profile, the interactions between the parameters, and the robustness of the
model allowed for the identification of an optimal operating point, validated under near-real-world
conditions.
