Abstract

This thesis aims to study the legal protection of trademarks, following two divisions. The first is civil protection, which discusses unfair competition claims in Algerian legislation regulating trademarks, particularly Ordinance 06-03 relating to trademarks, as well as Law 02-04 defining the rules applicable to commercial practices. This is done by examining the legal basis upon which unfair competition claims are based سسسسسسin the area of trademark infringement and the claim for compensation. The second division is partial protection, which complements counterfeit claims regulated by the aforementioned trademark law, in terms of the legal value of this claim and the extent to which it protects the trademark from various types of infringement.
