Abstract
Design study of automatichydraulicbraking system. 22% of road accidents are caused by
brakefailure. Therefore, the braking system is one of the most important safety and protection
tools in the car, both for passengers and pedestrians, whendriving on the road, and also in
machines and mechanicalsystemsso attention shouldbepaid to this part.
Brakes are one of the mandatory components of a moving machine. Anymoving machine or
vehicleneeds a brake to slow down and stop. Among the main types of brakesused in modern
cars are hydraulicbrakes, Fred Dosenbergdevelopedhydraulicbrakes in his racing cars in 1914
and Donsbergbecame the first car brand to use thistechnology in passenger cars
in1921;hydraulicbrakeis a braking system based on a brakefluidthattransfers pressure from the
control mechanism to the brakingmechanism.
The purpose of thisstudyis to compare the spring force with the brake transmission force, as
well as to compare the brake force torque with the pinion transmission torque. It alsoaims to
draw the hydraulicbrakeusing Microsoft Visio program, and then use SolidWorks to calculate
the different stresses that can beapplied to the disc braketooth for certain materials.
