Abstract

The algerian constitution stipulates the importance of elections as a means of realizing the will of the people and renewing political authority in the country an independent national authority was established with the mission of supervising and preparing for all stages of the electoral process within a framework of integrity and transparency this was confirmed by the amended and supplemented order 21-01 which includes the organic law relating to the electoral system the independent authority has a legal personality and administrative and financial independent the algerian legislator has granted it broad powers to supervise all electoral and référendum processes.
