In this dissertation, we focus on ""The Eye of the Peacock,"" a romain that offers a critical look at society and a deep dive into the psychology of a character in search of freedom under the weight of the past, social expectations, and the need for emancipation, offering a perspective on the lives of several figures. It addresses themes marked by appearances, inner confinement, invisible wounds, and the path to self. Lilia Hassaine offers us a novel with sensitive writing that is both personal and universal, denouncing the fundamentals of society and the mind.
