Abstract
This studyaims to highlightthe role of recognition in the construction ofprofessionalidentitywithin a vocational training and apprenticeship institutionAdopting a sociologicalapproach ,itfocuses on the daily interactions experienced by trainees and analyzes how recognition – throughitssymbolic and relational dimensions – contributes to reinforcing the sense of belonging ,legitimacy , and the development of a stable professionalidentity .
The methodology is based on a descriptive and analytical approch , supported by fieldwork involving interviews and direct observation .it explores how recognition is perceived and manifested in relationships between trainees and trainers , as well as among peers within the training environment .
Findings reveal that professional recongnition is not merely an external motivator , but rather a fundamental component in shaping the self as aprofessional actor . it significantly influences motivation , self- confidence and integration into the professional sphere. The study underscores the need to foster an institutional culture rooted in appreciation ,dialogue , and positive interaction , especially in light of the challenges facing vocational training today.
It recommends the intergration of recognition as a core element in pedagogical and educational programs, and the training of institutional actors ( trainers and supervisors ) to actively contribute to the valorization of trainees ‘efforts anddevelopment .
