Abstract
This study emphasizes the importance of persuasion in the
educational process, as it contributes to enhancing understanding
and fostering interaction between teacher and learner. It
demonstrates how persuasive mechanisms can be effectively
employed within educational discourse to achieve instructional
goals and build effective communicative relationships. The study
also explores the functions of persuasion in discourse, including the
affective function aimed at motivating the recipient, the informative
function for conveying ideas, and the argumentative function for
supporting claims. These functions work together to achieve
educational objectives at multiple levels. Furthermore, the study
focuses on the role of argumentative educational discourse in
guiding learners and shaping their thinking by employing various
strategies such as dialogue, setting educational goals, and using
appropriate communication tools. The study concludes that
persuasion is an effective tool for enhancing interaction and
achieving educational objectives through the deliberate use of
linguistic and rhetorical mechanisms.
