"This thesis explores the manifestations of drama in emergency literature, focusing on The Guardian of the Shrine, a novel by Algerian writer Waciny Laredj. It aims to highlight how the dramatic dimension emerges in a literary form born in times of crisis, blending the personal with the collective, and art with political and social reality. The analysis examines the narrative structure, characters, dialogue, and spatio-temporal setting to uncover the dramatic aspects that reflect the Algerian people's suffering during the Black Decade."
